TO GATT or not to GATT, that is the question.
I've been uploading some of these old S&S films as part of my project to give back to the Archive. I'm fairly knowledgeable about Public Domain and am familiar with Gatt and the Sony Bono Act and don't want to violate copyright however, most of these films are almost fifty years old. The companies that produced them are no longer around. The people involved in the making of them are either dead or in advanced old age. Who's around to own them? I realize that in some cases properties will be acquired by other companies but I doubt this has happened for most of these films.

Where's the gladiators?
I tried twice to run this film on my computer and couldn't get it past the title. What makes it stop, I can't say but I love to watch these history-based films and was disappointed when I couldn't get it to run for me. I usually don't have problems with most films so missing this one really makes me sad. Will try again another time. :)

maybe so, maybe not...
Actually, renewals always start with R or RE, not V. I think that's a transferral from one company to another you're talking about. However, most of these old Sword & Sandal flicks are eligible for GATT, so I myself won't upload any.
I do love these cheesy old slashenhack flicks, though.

Not PD
I don't think this is public domain. It's copyright renewal is V2522P255.
